Prof. Dr.-Ing. Debiao LU is with the school of automation and intelligence (SAI) at Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). His research interests include GNSS safe localisation, train control, and safety relevant GNSS certification for safer transportation applications.

Before he joined BJTU, he worked at Powertrain Electronics department at Daimler Greater China Ltd. for one year on safety architecture for gas pedal monitoring function.

He got his doctor title from faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS) under the guidance of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Eckehard Schnieder in Germany between 2010 and 2014. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and M.Sc. degree in traffic information engineering, both at Beijing Jiaotong University in China.
